We’re looking for a deeply technical Product Manager to own Payment Routing, Cascading & Payouts, one of most business-critical domains, end to end, from strategy to production.
You'll define how every deposit is routed and every payout is processed, using ML-driven decisioning to raise approval rates, reduce processing costs, and keep funds moving reliably across multiple PSPs and payment rails.
Responsibilities
Own the product strategy, PRDs, and roadmap for Deposit Routing, Smart Cascading, Payout STP, and Payment Back-Office Tooling
Collaborate daily with Data Science teams to build, validate, and deploy ML models that predict transaction success probabilities and optimize gateway choices
Partner with Treasury and Payment Ops to monitor PSP liquidity levels, contractual volume commitments, and payout failure rates
Design intuitive back-office interfaces for Payment Ops and Risk teams to handle manual reviews efficiently with full transactional context
Monitor real-time payment health, routing decision latency (P95), and gateway uptime, implementing instant failovers when PSP degradation is detected
Requirements
3+ years of Product Management experience in Payments, FinTech, Payment Orchestration, or High-Volume Acquiring/Payout platforms
Deep domain expertise in deposit routing, cascading, acquirer fee structures (interchange, scheme fees, gateway markups), and payout rails (SEPA Instant, SWIFT, local rails, crypto payouts)
Strong understanding of Machine Learning concepts applied to payments (predictive classification, feature engineering, A/B & Shadow Mode testing, false positive trade-offs) with a proven track record of working closely with Data Scientists.
Solid technical grasp of Payment Ops workflows, STP rules orchestration, velocity limits, and real-time liquidity awareness
Proficient in SQL to independently query transactional data, analyze decline codes, and evaluate routing performance
Data-First Mindset: You make routing and product decisions strictly based on quantitative evidence, statistical significance, and cost-benefit analysis
Cross-Functional Orchestrator: Ability to seamlessly bridge the gap between Data Scientists, Systems Engineers, Payment Ops, Risk/AML Compliance, and Treasury teams
Operational Rigor: Obsessive attention to detail regarding edge cases, double-charge prevention, and fail-safe logic in financial transaction flows
English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher, written and spoken
Will be a plus
Experience in high-risk FinTech, CFD/Forex brokerages, Crypto exchanges, or iGaming payment orchestration
Practical literacy in Python for data manipulation, log parsing, or verifying Data Science notebook outputs
Experience integrating crypto payout gateways or automated liquidity rebalancing tools
