Who We Are

Verkada is transforming how organizations protect their people and places with an integrated, privacy-sensitive AI-powered platform that includes solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management.

We’ve got serious momentum in the market: more than 30,000 customers (including 100+ of the Fortune 500), a $5.8B valuation, more than $1 billion in annualized bookings, and backing from CapitalG, Sequoia Capital, General Catalyst, Felicis Ventures, Next47 and more. Physical AI is one of the most consequential technology shifts of our time, and Verkada is at the center of it.

You can look at all kinds of communities to see our platform’s impact in the world. It's the retailer that uses our agentic AI to deter theft before it happens. The warehouse that uses AI-powered alerts to make sure its team is protected on the floor with proper PPE. The school that’s alerted to a threat in real-time and triggers a lockdown in seconds, not minutes. We’re rapidly scaling this impact: today, more than 2 million Verkada devices are deployed across 170+ countries.

About the Role

Verkada's Perimeter & Intrusion security products enable our customers to detect potential threats using AI and sensor technology, and respond quickly to ensure the safety of people and property.

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our core Perimeter and Intrusion Security product. In this role, you will be redefining how organizations manage intrusion security at scale end-to-end, from configuration and access to day-to-day operations. You'll draw on excellent design skills and customer empathy to build a product that scales to the needs of large, complex enterprise customers. You will be the driver of more signal, less noise. You'll push the boundaries of what an alarm system can be, finding creative, unconventional ways to eliminate false alarms.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires you to work onsite at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.

What You'll Do

Own growing and building our core perimeter and intrusion product, ensuring our end-to-end product meets customers needs and grows market share

Build on and expand the capabilities of product workflows and enterprise scale features for management of security software spanning hundreds of locations and the globe

Develop creative solutions to arm/disarm security alarm systems in a modern, low friction manner, including innovating with AI to make these experiences more seamless

Develop innovative AI systems that fuse cameras and sensors to reduce false alarms for customers while increasing the security of their locations

Innovate on enterprise scale reporting, both real time and after-action scenarios

What You Bring

5-8+ years of experience in product management, preferably in B2B

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar quantitative field. MS, PhD, or MBA optional

Experience with IoT, RF and location related technologies, low power and long range devices a huge plus

Proven history of designing and landing optimized user experiences; a strong intuition for simplifying complex concepts is critical to success in this role

Ability to design operational workflows for efficiency, accuracy, and cost; prior operational experience is a plus

Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with both internal teams and 3rd party partners on mission critical operations

Real passion for craftsmanship and product details. If you’ve spent days retrofitting your house with the latest smart home technology, you’ll like it here
