About the role

Original posting from OTR Solutions via Greenhouse

OTR Solutions is an innovator in the transportation industry providing a suite of factoring, fuel, and business management focused solutions. We help new and established companies get fast access to the funds they need for daily operations. As a Private Equity backed FinTech company, we are looking to grow our best-in-class financial organization.

OTR has been recognized as a “Top Workplace” by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution since 2016!

OTR Solutions is hiring an execution-focused Product Owner, Epay to own day-to-day delivery for Epay, the payment and audit platform at the center of our Broker Services portfolio. You will translate business intent into clear, testable work, keep the backlog healthy and ready, and partner with Engineering, QA, Design, Operations, and business stakeholders to ship improvements our broker customers rely on every day.

This role exists to raise the bar on backlog quality, user story definition, roadmap execution, stakeholder alignment, release management, and delivery predictability across the Epay platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the work and takes ownership of outcomes, not just tickets.

Epay is OTR’s broker back-office automation and carrier payments product. It supports document audits, invoice automation, carrier payments, billing, TMS integrations, and integrated working capital through OTR Factoring. Our customers are freight brokers, with finance teams in accounts payable and accounts receivable serving as the platform’s primary users.

The platform follows a regular production release cadence and connects to the TMS systems brokers already use, including Turvo, TAI, Revenova, and McLeod.

Please note: We do not sponsor work-related visas.**

Responsibilities:

Own and maintain the Epay product backlog, prioritizing work based on business value, risk, and roadmap commitments

Ensure every item entering refinement is clearly defined, testable, and ready for implementation

Maintain backlog health, including acceptance criteria, states, permissions, loading, empty, and error conditions

Translate stakeholder intent, business value, and success criteria into clear user stories and acceptance criteria

Document workflows, process models, and supporting materials for audit, invoicing, payment, and billing scenarios

Partner with Design and UX to validate workflows, edge cases, and usability before development begins

Lead or support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning by providing timely clarification and decisions

Work with the Tech Lead to clarify scope, sequencing, dependencies, and technical constraints, including TMS and API integrations

Identify delivery risks early and drive them to resolution

Own business-level user acceptance testing and validate completed work against requirements before acceptance

Coordinate with QA to ensure test scenarios cover UI behavior, end-to-end workflows, and regressions

Participate in release-readiness and go/no-go decisions

Help prepare release notes for internal teams and customer audiences

Communicate status, risks, plans, and scope changes to Product leadership, Broker Services, and Operations

Incorporate feedback from Support, Implementation, Analytics, and customers into backlog refinement

Continuously improve backlog quality, requirements practices, and delivery processes across the team

What we look for:

4–7 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar role

Hands-on experience with Agile software development, backlog management, sprint planning, user acceptance testing, requirements definition, and the software development lifecycle

Exceptional user story and acceptance criteria writing skills, including experience supporting UI and UX features

Comfort reviewing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes with a strong understanding of the end-to-end user experience

Experience creating process models and workflow documentation

Familiarity with TMS platforms such as Turvo, TAI, Revenova, or McLeod and the load lifecycle processes is a must

Working knowledge of APIs and system integrations, with the ability to contribute to technical discussions with Engineering

Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting concepts

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority

Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or a similar backlog management platform

Experience with Asana or a similar project management platform

Experience with Lucidchart, Miro, or similar process-mapping tools

Experience with payments platforms, AP/AR solutions, FinTech products, transportation or logistics technology, broker or carrier software, or audit and payment workflow systems preferred

Familiarity with Aha! or Confluence is a plus

Proactive problem-solving skills and a strong sense of accountability

Ability to balance speed, quality, and user impact when making daily tradeoffs
