About Rocket Factory Augsburg

At Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA), we have one clear goal: to create low-cost, flexible, and reliable access to space. We specialize in building small launch vehicles designed to deploy satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and beyond. Together with you, we aim to revolutionize space services and help improve life on Earth. Sounds interesting? Then join our journey and become part of the team driving the New Space movement in Europe.

About the Team

Join a highly skilled and mission-driven team developing advanced space components and systems that support the next generation of space technology. In this role, you will be at the center of manufacturing operations, bridging engineering, production, and quality to ensure complex hardware is built efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on manufacturing professionals who enjoy solving practical challenges, improving processes directly on the shop floor, and working in an international, multidisciplinary environment. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge space technologies, production planning methodologies, and quality-driven manufacturing processes while contributing to products where precision and reliability are critical.

If you are passionate about turning engineering concepts into flight-ready hardware and thrive in a dynamic production environment, we encourage you to apply.

Your Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and monitor manufacturing activities, including build schedules, resource allocation, and production readiness for space components and systems.

Ensure production readiness by verifying the availability and completeness of required manufacturing documentation, coordinating necessary updates with responsible departments, and supporting efficient production processes.

Support production teams on the shop floor by ensuring materials, tools, and resources are available when needed.

Identify production inefficiencies, analyze root causes, and implement practical process improvements to increase quality, efficiency, and throughput.

Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams to ensure smooth execution of manufacturing activities.

Ensure manufacturing processes comply with internal quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable industry regulations.

Provide technical guidance and day-to-day support to production technicians during assembly, manufacturing, and integration activities.
