QphoX is looking for a new member to join us in developing and building our transducer devices. We are looking to expand our team with a R&D Nanofabrication Scientist. As a member of our team, you will help develop the next generation of integrated quantum devices and take their performance to the next level. You will help transform innovative concepts into scalable and manufacturable solutions. Your focus will be on process development, device development or technology integration.

You will be involved in:

Developing and improving devices and semiconductor process technologies for QphoX’s technology.

Planning, carrying out and analyzing experiments to improve performance, fabrication yield, and reproducibility.

Testing new materials and fabrication methods and assessing their potential for future devices.

Investigating fabrication and device performance issues, and finding solutions to improve process reliability and manufacturability.

Characterizing materials and devices using physical, chemical and optical or electrical measurements.

Working closely with scientists from different fields to develop and improve devices and processes.

You are suitable for this role if you have one or several of the following:

Experience in nanofabrication in one or more of these fields: photonics, semiconductor processing, electro-optics, electromechanics, MEMS or quantum devices or related fields.

Hands-on experience in a cleanroom, semiconductor manufacturing or nanofabrication environment.

Ability to solve technical problems, plan and carry out experiments, and improve processes and device integration.

Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to be independently, work on technical challenges, and contribute to projects from early stage research.

Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with people from different fields and a willingness to learn new things.

Supplementary skills set:

Experience with thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) or other integrated photonics platforms.

Experience with electromechanical devices, optomechanics or quantum technologies
