REGULATORY ANALYST, PRODUCT COUNSEL (STARLINK)

SpaceX is seeking a Regulatory Analyst, Product Counsel to support Starlink’s satellite internet and mobile products across 170+ markets worldwide (and growing). Starlink uses a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites to deliver high-speed, low-latency broadband internet and mobile services globally.

As a Regulatory Analyst, Product Counsel, you will be part of the team responsible for overseeing Starlink’s rapidly evolving product portfolio from a legal and regulatory perspective. You will evaluate new products, support the launch of new services, and help improve the scalability of both our products and the team’s internal processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as a subject matter expert on Starlink’s global product portfolio, with a focus on legal and regulatory issues, while acting as a bridge across internal teams

Research and analyze regulatory requirements for new products, services, and marketing strategies across multiple countries

Design and implement scalable solutions to meet compliance and regulatory obligations

Manage license applications and other regulatory filings needed to support product launches and operations

Review marketing and advertising campaigns for legal/regulatory issues

Automate recurring processes and maintain data repositories to enable efficient reuse of information and prior work

Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency within the Product Counsel function

Manage regulatory filings such as tariffs and price lists,

Manage Starlink’s response to formal/regulatory customer complaints

Support broader regulatory compliance efforts across the legal team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree

2+ years of professional work experience

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Work experience in a regulated industry (telecommunications, technology, or similar)

In-house experience at a technology, telecommunications, or electronics company

Experience navigating complex regulatory requirements across multiple countries

Background building practical, scalable processes and workflows

Strong technical skills, including experience with tools such as LLMs, Linux, APIs, SQL, or GIS software

Experience in a startup, consulting, or other fast-moving environment

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting and clearly communicate regulatory topics to non-legal stakeholders

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is based in Washington, DC, and requires being onsite - remote work not considered

Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range:

Level 1: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00

Level 2: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
