Aimed at undergraduate students in electrical engineering or related fields who have hands-on RF design experience and are interested in space technology.

Best fit for

  • Candidates who thrive in collaborative, project-driven environments with engineering teams
    — “work closely with the rest of the team”
  • Students seeking long-term career opportunities in space communications and satellite engineering
    — “Many past interns have designed and tested hardware/software that is heading to space on our first satellite, and many of them are now full-time employees at Astranis”

Things to consider

  • U.S. citizenship or residency is mandatory due to space technology export regulations

How to stand out

  • Highlight specific RF components you've designed or tested, such as LNAs or filters
    — “Design, simulate, implement, and measure passive/active RF sub-systems at microwave frequencies”
  • Emphasize experience with RF simulation tools like ADS or HFSS in your resume and interview
    — “Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS or HFSS)”
  • Showcase your ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment
    — “we pride ourselves on giving everyone at Astranis a chance to do meaningful work on challenging projects, no matter their seniority”
  • Demonstrate familiarity with RF test equipment such as network analyzers or signal generators
    — “Experience taking RF measurements with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, etc.”
  • Mention any experience with PCB design tools like Altium to align with the company's technical stack
