WRITER is where the world's leading enterprises orchestrate AI-powered work. Our vision is to expand human capacity through superintelligence. And we're proving it's possible – through powerful, trustworthy AI that unites IT and business teams together to unlock enterprise-wide transformation. With WRITER's end-to-end platform, hundreds of companies like Mars, Marriott, Uber, and Vanguard are building and deploying AI agents that are grounded in their company's data and fueled by WRITER's enterprise-grade LLMs. Valued at $1.9B and backed by industry-leading investors including Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, and ICONIQ Growth, WRITER is rapidly cementing its position as the leader in enterprise generative AI.

Founded in 2020 with office hubs in San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Austin, Chicago, and London, our team thinks big and moves fast, and we're looking for smart, hardworking builders and scalers to join us on our journey to create a better future of work with AI.

📐 About the role

As a sales development representative at WRITER, you'll be on the front lines of the enterprise AI revolution - the very first conversation many Fortune 500 buyers will ever have about our platform. You won't just be dialing for meetings; you'll be shaping how the world's largest companies understand and adopt generative AI. Every discovery call you run, every account you break into, and every qualified opportunity you hand off directly feeds the pipeline that powers WRITER's next phase of hypergrowth.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role. You'll partner closely with our enterprise account executives to crack into named target accounts across industries like retail, financial services, travel, and healthcare - the same kinds of companies already transforming their work with WRITER. You'll sharpen your craft in a fast-moving environment, build a deep fluency in enterprise AI, and set yourself on an accelerated path toward becoming a top-tier enterprise seller. If you're energized by outbound prospecting, curious about AI, and hungry to make your mark at one of the fastest-growing companies in the space, this is your launchpad.

This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco, Chicago or New York City office. You'll report to the manager of sales development.

🦸🏻‍♀️ What you’ll do

  • Build pipeline from ideal customer profile (ICP) accounts by reaching out thoughtfully and creatively to engage target personas
  • Find inventive ways to connect with prospects and potential buyers who fit our ICP
  • Continuously look for opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve processes for greater efficiency
  • Research key accounts' initiatives to develop a compelling "hypothesis of value"
  • Set meetings for the Sales team once a lead reaches a qualified stage
  • Strategize and execute multi-touch, account-based campaigns in partnership with Marketing and Sales
  • …and yes, maintain accurate information in Salesforce so we can scale what works!

⭐️ What you need

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales development role at a SaaS company
  • A proven track record of exceeding outbound pipeline generation goals in a B2B SaaS startup environment
  • Genuinely excellent written communication skills—everyone says that, but we sell to great writers, so we mean it. Poorly written emails aren't a good look.
  • A self-starter with an experimental mindset—there's no playbook yet, so we need your help building it!

🍩 Benefits & perks (US Full-time employees)

  • Generous PTO, plus company holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family
  • Paid parental leave for all parents (16 weeks)
  • Fertility and family planning support
  • Early-detection cancer testing through Galleri https://www.galleri.com/partner/writer
  • Flexible spending account and dependent FSA options
  • Health savings account for eligible plans with company contribution
  • Annual work-life stipends for:
  • Wellness stipend for gym, massage/chiropractor, personal training, etc.
  • Learning and development stipend
  • Company-wide off-sites and team off-sites
  • Competitive compensation, company stock options and 401k
