Company info

NewLimit is a biotechnology company working to radically extend human healthspan. We’re developing medicines to treat aging by reprogramming the epigenome, a new therapeutic mechanism to restore youthful function in aged cells. We’ve built the world’s leading experimental and artificial intelligence system to discover reprogramming medicines at massive scale. Our first products are focused on restoring youthful metabolic, endothelial, and immune function.

Description

NewLimit is seeking a Scientist to join our Delivery Sciences team. In this role, you will development formulations, purification processes, and characterization methods for lipid nanoparticle (LNP) drug products. NewLimit’s reprogramming medicines rely upon these LNP chemistries to carry reprogramming payloads to target cells and tissues throughout the body.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical understanding of LNP assembly via various mixing methods, expertise in downstream purification, and hands-on experience with advanced analytical characterization techniques.

What you’ll do

Formulate, purify, and characterize LNPs for nucleic acid delivery

Collaborate with the Epigenetic Editing and Product teams (Immunology, Metabolism, Vascular) to develop LNP-RNA reprogramming medicines.

Develop and optimize LNP compositions to target new cell types for reprogramming.

Interpret complex experimental data and perform statistical analyses to reach robust conclusions.

Maintain rigorous and detailed records of experimental protocols and results in an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN).

Requirements

Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline or equivalent industry experience

Experience formulating LNPs with diverse lipid components for nucleic acid delivery

Experience with purification techniques, including dialysis, Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), ultracentrifugation, and sterile filtration.

Proficiency in LNP analysis using dynamic or multi-angle light scatting, liquid chromatography, and standard molecular biology assays (ELISA, qPCR, spectroscopy).

Nice to have

Experience contributing to drug product development at the preclinical or clinical stages.

Background in extra-hepatic nucleic acid delivery.

Experience with bioconjugation, surface modification, or targeted LNP formulation.

Experience with data visualization and statistical analysis (R, Python)

Benefits
