About the role

Original posting from Proximaai via Ashby

Proxima is the Conversion Intelligence platform for ecommerce. Powered by a proprietary Commerce Graph spanning 73M+ unique buyers across 2,200+ ecommerce brands, representing $60B+ in cross-brand transactional signals, we help teams understand what actually drives conversion across the broader market, and turn those signals into clear creative direction.

Our data is behavior-based, not survey- or panel-driven, and not modeled intent — it's built on observed, cross-brand buying behavior, continuously updated in real time. Headquartered in New York City, we're a team of operators, builders, and ecommerce veterans who've built and scaled 8+ companies across commerce, data, and growth, now solving the hardest problems in modern customer acquisition.

You’ll join Proxima as the first Senior Account Executive for our new Health & Wellness vertical. You’ll own outbound and full-cycle sales into telehealth platforms, digital health apps, and D2C wellness brands. You’ll show growth and performance leaders how Proxima’s Commerce Graph lowers acquisition costs and finds high-value customers, and you’ll define the playbook as you go.

Proxima runs on a Commerce Graph of 73M+ real buyers and $33B+ in deterministic, SKU-level purchase signal across 2,000+ ecommerce brands. Health and wellness brands are spending more than ever to acquire customers, often with thinner signal as privacy rules tighten. We have the data to close that gap.

This is the right role if you’re a builder who wants real autonomy, direct revenue ownership, and the upside of getting in early on a new vertical.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Pipeline and revenue

  • Build and run outbound into telehealth, digital health, and D2C health and wellness brands
  • Qualify and close deals full-cycle, including working through privacy and legal review on the buyer side
  • Drive revenue through custom audience and targeting solutions built to lower CAC and grow customer LTV

Go-to-market

  • Define the ICP, positioning, and sales process for Health & Wellness from scratch
  • Shape target account strategy and help decide who we hire next as the team grows

Consultative selling

  • Advise growth, performance, and lifecycle leaders on audience and acquisition strategy, rather than just pitching product
  • Travel to industry events to build relationships and generate pipeline in person

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in ad tech, performance marketing, health tech, or SaaS
  • A track record of building pipeline and closing revenue in a new or developing market
  • Comfort discussing health-data privacy (HIPAA, FTC rules, state consumer health data laws) with buyers and their legal teams
  • An existing network among digital health or D2C wellness growth teams, strongly preferred
  • Fluency in subscription economics: CAC, LTV, payback, and retention
  • Comfort building from zero in a fast-paced, early-stage environment

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience selling into telehealth, D2C subscription, or consumer health brands
  • Fluency with AI tools for prospecting, personalization, or research

Why Proxima

  • Work on one of the most differentiated data assets in consumer tech, with real ownership over your projects and decisions that matter
  • Lean, highly cross-functional team — close collaboration with product, data, growth, and leadership, where your voice carries weight
  • Hybrid setup in our NYC office, with a collaborative in-person culture and quarterly team events in and out of the office

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive base salary and meaningful equity
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus HSA/FSA options and 401(k)
  • 12 weeks fully paid parental leave
  • Unlimited PTO, plus Summer Fridays (July 4th–Labor Day)
  • Mental health and wellness support via Talkspace, Health Advocate, and One Medical
  • Commuter benefits and a $1,000 annual learning & development stipend
