At Beyond Finance, we've made it our mission to help everyday Americans escape the endless cycle of crippling debt and step into a brighter financial future. Through compassionate, individualized care, a culture focused on compliance and ethics, supportive user-centric technology, and customized financial solutions, we've helped over 1 million clients on their path to a brighter future.
While we're proud of what we've already accomplished, we're searching for new collaborators to help us get to the next level! If you're looking to join a forward-thinking, rapidly growing organization with helping people as its number one goal, we want to hear from you.
The Senior Analyst, FP&A is the engine behind our monthly financial reporting. You will own actuals-versus-forecast (AvF) reporting, keep our financial models tied to the accounting books each month, and run the ad hoc analysis that leadership relies on to make decisions. You will work side by side with the Sr. Director of FP&A and have regular visibility to the CFO and executive team.
The best candidate is fluent in U.S. GAAP, comfortable in the general ledger, and takes pride in numbers that tie out. You will also help shape how the team works by building AI-assisted workflows that make reporting faster, more consistent and more reliable.
We are a PE-backed, multi-entity finance company in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We are looking for a self-motivated analyst with strong judgment, high standards and the ability to explain the story behind the numbers to leaders at every level.
What You'll Do
Build financial models in Excel based on historical financial and operating data
Ensure model accuracy while enhancing model quality
Recommend and implement model process improvement measures
Analyze and identify data required to support financial models; operational and financial records
Load and map monthly accounting actuals from the general ledger (NetSuite) into the operating and forecast models, ensuring the model ties to Accounting's closed books
Conduct scenario analysis based on strategic business decisions to access profitability and financial business risks
Build and improve repeatable, AI-assisted reporting workflows that reduce manual effort and strengthen model quality and controls
Own monthly actuals-versus-forecast (AvF) reporting across the GAAP income statement, cash income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement, delivered on a close-driven timeline
Meet with division leads to discuss monthly variances and organizational changes that may affect financial results
Partner with the business leadership to support monthly and quarterly assumption driver updates, the Annual Operating Plan and lender budgets
Run ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for the Sr. Director of FP&A, CFO and executive leadership
Support board, lender and investor reporting, including preparing schedules and reviewing financial packages for accuracy
What We Look For
Strong U.S. GAAP foundation and comfort working with the general ledger, trial balance and account mappings
High standards of accuracy and precision, strong attention to detail, and demonstrated integrity
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the instinct to question numbers that do not look right
Strong written, verbal and quantitative communication skills, including the ability to explain complex results simply to non-finance partners
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities through the monthly close cycle
Self-motivated with exceptional follow-through, and a desire to learn the business and question the status quo
High potential and ambition to grow within the Finance organization
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
2-4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate accounting, public accounting or corporate finance
Excellent Excel and data skills, with experience building and maintaining financial models
Hands-on experience using Claude, Gemini or another AI platform to support analysis, reporting or process automation
Nice to Have
CPA license or public accounting experience
Experience at a PE-backed company, or with lender and investor reporting
Experience with NetSuite or a similar structured ERP system
Knowledge of BI tools (such as Looker) and SQL or database structures
Understanding of, and ability to build, projection curves
