About the role

Original posting from ANINE BING via Greenhouse

ANINE BING is looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team based in Paris.

As a senior member of our Paris HQ Finance team, the Senior FP&A Analyst holds the full view of the company P&L, from net sales to EBITDA, across all channels and regions. The role combines ownership of the planning and reporting cycles with hands-on business partnering, and plays a central part in structuring our FP&A processes as the brand scales internationally.

We're looking for a rigorous, process-oriented finance professional with a strong retail background and a sharp understanding of margin mechanics. You are comfortable owning the numbers end to end and challenging the business on what drives them.

This is a full-time permanent position (CDI) based at our Paris HQ (with 4 days per week in the office and 1 day of remote work possible). The role reports to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities Include:

Full P&L ownership: own the company-wide P&L view, from net sales through gross margin, store contribution and operating expenses down to EBITDA, consolidated across retail, e-commerce and wholesale, and across the US, Europe and Asia. Act as the go-to reference on P&L performance and its drivers for the Head of Finance and the leadership team.

Budgeting & forecasting: lead the annual budget, monthly reforecasts and long-range plan. Own the planning calendar, key assumptions and models, and consolidate inputs from regional and functional stakeholders.

Margin management: own margin analysis at every level (channel, market, category, collection, SKU), including markdowns, promotions, cost of goods, freight, duties, FX and inventory provisions. Build margin bridges, explain variances and drive recommendations on pricing and markdown strategy.

Monthly close & reporting: own the FP&A month-end close and the global management reporting package (actuals vs. budget, forecast and prior year, variance commentary, KPI dashboards). Work with Accounting to ensure management and statutory figures reconcile.

Business partnering: serve as finance partner to Retail, E-Commerce, Wholesale, Merchandising and Supply Chain leaders on store P&Ls, inventory productivity and open-to-buy, pricing, promotional plans, and business cases for store openings and market entries.

Processes & controls: design, document and continuously improve FP&A processes, templates, review controls and data standards. Drive reporting automation across the finance stack (NetSuite, Excel / Google Sheets, BI tools) in coordination with Accounting and IT.

Leadership support: prepare materials for executive and board reviews and lead ad hoc analyses requested by the CFO and the Head of Finance. Review and guide the work of junior team members.

Requirements:

5–7 years of experience in FP&A, controlling or financial planning, with significant exposure to a company-wide or business-unit scope.

Retail experience is mandatory: proven experience in a retail or fashion company with a store network and multi-channel model, and a solid command of store economics, seasonality, markdowns, inventory and open-to-buy.

Full P&L vision: hands-on experience owning or co-owning a full P&L, from top line to EBITDA, including consolidation across channels or countries.

Strong margin expertise: gross margin building blocks, markdown and promotional impact, landed cost, inventory valuation and provisions, with the ability to explain margin drivers clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Rigorous and process-oriented: a track record of building or improving planning, closing and reporting processes, with reliable delivery against deadlines.

Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and financial modeling skills; experience with an ERP (NetSuite is a plus) and a BI or reporting tool (Power BI, Looker, Tableau or equivalent).

Master's degree in Finance, Business or Engineering, or equivalent.

Fluent English required (global scope, US HQ, international teams); professional proficiency in French preferred.

Strong communication skills: able to turn complex analyses into concise, decision-oriented messages and to challenge senior operational stakeholders with confidence
