About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Sales Development Representative to build a net-new pipeline for our Checking and Payments sales team as Bluevine expands its reach among businesses generating approximately $1 million to $10 million in annual revenue. You will partner closely with an Account Executive to research target accounts, engage prospects through cold calls and email, qualify interest, and schedule meetings with key decision-makers.

This role combines the executional discipline of sales development with the opportunity to help build and scale a new outbound motion. You will conduct account research, personalize outreach, develop repeatable workflows, and create effective email and call sequences. Strong judgment, consistent execution, and a willingness to test, learn, and improve will be essential to your success.

You will also have the opportunity to build the prospecting, discovery, and pipeline management skills needed to grow into an Account Executive role as the team expands.

What You’ll Do

Build a consistent flow of qualified meetings and net-new pipeline through cold calling, personalized email outreach, and structured follow-up.

Research target accounts and identify founders, business owners, operators, and finance leaders who may benefit from Bluevine’s banking and payments products.

Personalize outreach at scale and develop messaging that converts prospects into meaningful conversations and qualified meetings.

Qualify prospects by understanding their business, current banking relationships, needs, and level of interest.

Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives and provide clear context to support productive conversations.

Test call scripts, subject lines, value propositions, and outreach cadences, and apply what you learn to improve targeting, messaging, and the broader outbound sales process.

Maintain accurate activity, contact, and prospect records in Salesforce and other sales tools.

Manage follow-up diligently and consistently execute against daily and weekly calling, email, meeting, and CRM expectations.

Achieve activity, meeting, conversion, and pipeline goals while representing Bluevine with professionalism and integrity.

What We Look For

2+ years of experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, or another outbound prospecting role.

A track record of using cold calls and personalized emails to generate conversations and qualified meetings.

A confident, engaging phone presence and the ability to connect with founders, business owners, and finance leaders.

Experience using a CRM and sales engagement platform; Salesforce experience is preferred.

Comfort using AI tools and LLMs to support research, personalization, and workflow development.

Clear communication, strong organization, sound judgment, and disciplined follow-up.

Resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to learn from feedback and performance data.

An interest in fintech, business banking, and helping small and midsize businesses grow.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
