How you’ll demonstrate Ownership
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Cognite, you will be a key driver in building our products end to end, from intuitive user facing applications to the APIs and services that power them. You’ll take ownership of complex features from ideation to deployment, designing solutions that are engaging, secure, and scalable across the entire stack. Working closely with product, design, and fellow engineers, you’ll help shape technical direction, raise the quality bar through code reviews and mentoring, and ensure we’re shipping a seamless, reliable experience for our users.
The Impact you bring to Cognite
A typical day as a Cogniter will contain the following tasks & responsibilities
Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies and own and solve problems end-to-end
Collaborate in a fast-paced environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts
Using your fullstack development skills to build tools that extract key information from documents and connect data, such that users can make the most of their industrial data
Design and implement elegant APIs, user experiences, and the underlying infrastructure that leverage smart algorithms and AI
Be actively involved in setting product and technical direction
Work closely with our skilled users to understand their needs and build products to help them succeed
Required Qualifications
You have 6+ years of fullstack software engineering experience
You have a bachelor's degree or more in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar, or equivalent experience
You can learn new coding languages and use the language that best fits the purpose. In particular, you have hands-on experience with Python and any Python backend framework (FastAPI, Flask, Django). Previous experience writing code in Kotlin is a plus.
You have front-end experience in frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, or something similar and a solid grasp of JavaScript and enjoy the benefits of TypeScript
You have experience with some of the following: Google Cloud Platform services, Azure, and/or AWS. Experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker, and other related technologies.
You have experience with distributed open-source software such as Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and similar
You care about unit testing, integration testing, and E2E testing
You write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the codebase in check
You have a passion for emerging web technologies
You have experience with prompt engineering and integrating with large language models through e.g. langchain, fabric
