Our mission is to enable researchers to find cures faster, empower every clinician to be an expert, and help families make the most informed decisions about their care. Who We Need

Truveta is rapidly building a talented and diverse team to tackle complex health and technical challenges. We are seeking candidates inspired by the opportunity to apply data in the development of real-world health solutions. This Opportunity

Truveta's mission is Saving Lives with Data: helping researchers find cures faster, empowering every clinician to be an expert, and helping families make the most informed decisions about their care. Semantic normalization is where that data becomes usable. Health systems describe the same diagnosis, lab result, or medication in countless ways, and our platform maps each one to a standard medical concept, so researchers can study data from many health systems as one. Every dataset Truveta delivers runs through it.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own major pieces of the platform's next-generation architecture. You will scale the service for both the volume and the variety of its workloads, building a flexible system that keeps pace with Truveta's growing data volume and expanding range of data sources.

We are seeking backend engineers who:

Have proven experience building reliable, secure, and scalable software solutions using modern cloud-based paradigms

Are quick learners who can iterate on and evolve distributed software solutions while carefully balancing privacy, security, and reliability requirements with a changing product landscape

Have knowledge of and experience designing and working with distributed systems, data pipelines, and APIs

Can guide workstreams, mentor and inspire junior developers, and cultivate a positive work environment

Adhere to Truveta principles in support of ethical innovation

Are committed to ongoing training on key topics such as privacy, ethics, and security

Key Qualifications:

5+ years of experience building production-quality software in a team setting

Experience building cloud services or data pipelines in Java, Python, or C#

Experience building and supporting cross-platform, multi-tenant services

2+ years of experience on cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field

InfraOps or DevOps experience is a plus

Kubernetes experience is a plus

Healthcare domain experience is a plus

Experience with AI agents is a plus
