ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Trader at Pave Bank, you'll play a key role in executing multi-asset trading strategies and managing the bank's FX and digital asset exposures, liquidity, and treasury operations across global markets. Working across G20 and emerging-market FX, fixed income, derivatives, and digital assets/stablecoins, you'll help optimise trade execution, manage risk, and strengthen the bank's network of liquidity providers and OTC counterparties.

Beyond day-to-day trading, you'll have the opportunity to build and improve trading and treasury workflows, leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance efficiency, market analysis, and decision-making. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong financial market expertise with a proactive, technology-driven mindset and thrives at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HIGH-IMPACT EXECUTION

  • Execute multi-asset trades across FX, digital assets, and fixed income across global corridors with high precision, speed, and strict risk discipline.
  • Build and manage the firm's OTC book, actively sourcing the next high-value trading opportunities for the desk.
  • Devise and implement execution strategies for the desk to maximise risk-adjusted returns.

TREASURY & RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Manage real-time FX and digital asset exposures within defined limits, running smart hedging and inventory positioning across 30+ currencies.
  • Own intraday and end-of-day treasury operations across banks, OTC desks, exchanges, and digital wallets — maximising capital efficiency and driving idle funds to capture yield.

PARTNER & COUNTERPARTY STRATEGY

  • Help manage and expand our network of liquidity providers and OTC counterparties.
  • Onboard partners, benchmark pricing performance, and eliminate single points of failure across active trading corridors.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

  • Collaborate directly with Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial teams on settlement flows, transaction monitoring, and business development.

AI, TOOLING & PROCESS INNOVATION

  • Champion the use of AI tools and automation to streamline daily desk reporting, market analysis, and treasury forecasts, cutting out manual friction wherever it lives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in FX, OTC execution, treasury, or liquidity management at a buy-side/sell-side institution, bank, broker, crypto firm, or fintech.
  • Platform Mastery: Advanced proficiency using industry-standard trading software and financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal).
  • Multi-Asset Knowledge: A solid grasp of global financial markets, including FX (G20 & EM), fixed income products, derivatives, and digital assets. Hands-on experience trading digital assets is a major plus.
  • AI Mindset: Active familiarity with AI tools and automation methods to optimise personal workflows, solve complex operational challenges, and scale desk capacity.
  • Technical & Quantitative Skills: Highly numerate with advanced Excel capabilities. Experience with SQL, Python, or building custom trading/treasury tools is a major bonus.
  • Decisive & Risk-Disciplined: Strong risk fundamentals with the confidence to make quick, well-calibrated decisions in live, fast-moving markets.
  • Communicator & Builder: Clear, confident communication style to lead partner discussions. A strong bias toward action, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where execution speed is critical.
