Who this role is best for

Geared toward full-stack developers comfortable with building and maintaining batchable pipelines on AWS. Candidates should have a background in enterprise software, with a focus on data orchestration and automation.

Best fit for

  • Candidates with 4-6 years of full-stack experience and a strong background in Java and Python-based pipeline development
    — “at least 4 to 6 years of full-stack software development experience”
  • Individuals who have led or contributed to complex data orchestration systems, especially with S3 and batch processing
    — “Design and develop robust upload and orchestration engines using AWS SDKs to transfer extracted historic data to S3”
  • Candidates familiar with creating self-service UIs and working in DevOps environments with Jenkins and containerization
    — “Configure and support CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) for extraction and UI services using Jenkins”

Things to consider

  • The role demands expertise in handling TIFF images and metadata alongside API payloads
    — “accurate packaging and transfer of TIFF images alongside Swift/XML/JSON payloads and metadata files”
  • Candidates must be prepared to coordinate with Data Quality Engineers for re-trigger logic
    — “coordinating with Data Quality Engineers”

How to stand out

  • Highlight experience in building scalable upload engines and large-volume data handling
    — “upload engine for large historic volumes”
  • Emphasize your background in creating batchable pipelines and backend API development
    — “Develop backend APIs in Python and Java to connect extraction layers, metadata generation, and S3 upload steps into a cohesive, batchable pipeline”
  • Showcase your hands-on work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins in CI/CD environments
    — “containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) for extraction and UI services using Jenkins”
  • Demonstrate your ability to implement robust exception handling and re-trigger logic
    — “Implement robust exception handling and re-trigger logic for failed or partial batch uploads”
  • Include examples of reconciling data and working with metadata in your portfolio or resume
    — “displaying reconciliation results”
