About Eon

Eon is transforming cloud backup and recovery into an intelligent, accessible data layer for the enterprise.

Founded by the team behind CloudEndure, Eon is building a new category around cloud backup data — making it searchable, accessible, and ready for the next generation of enterprise applications.

We’ve raised $500M and are backed by Sequoia, Lightspeed, Greenoaks, BOND, and Elad Gil.

We’re growing quickly and looking for people who want to build, not just operate.

The Role

We’re looking for a Solutions Engineering Developer to join our Solutions Architecture organization and build the internal tools, applications, and automations that help our Solutions team move faster and operate at scale.

This is a highly hands-on engineering role at the intersection of software development and Solutions Architecture. You’ll work closely with Solutions Architects to understand their workflows and challenges, and turn those needs into practical, scalable tools.

You’ll have significant ownership and the opportunity to take projects from problem → prototype → production.

This is not a traditional internal IT or support role. We’re looking for a strong developer who enjoys solving real-world technical problems, working closely with technical users, and building tools that have an immediate impact.

What You’ll Do

Build internal tools and applications for the Solutions Architecture organization.

Automate repetitive technical and operational workflows.

Develop tools that improve solution design, customer preparation, demos, technical discovery, and documentation.

Work directly with Solutions Architects to understand their needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

Prototype quickly, validate with users, and turn successful prototypes into production-quality tools.

Integrate internal systems, APIs, data sources, and third-party platforms.

Partner with Engineering and Product teams when tools need to integrate with Eon’s core platform.

Own projects end-to-end, from defining the problem through development, deployment, and iteration.

Identify opportunities to improve the productivity and effectiveness of the Solutions organization through software and automation.

What We’re Looking For

Strong software engineering background with experience building production-quality applications and tools.

Strong programming skills in Python and/or another modern programming language.

Experience building internal tools, automation, developer tools, or SaaS applications.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into simple, useful solutions.

Ability to work directly with technical users and understand their workflows.

A builder mentality — you enjoy taking an idea from a conversation to something people can actually use.

Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.

Nice to Have

Experience working with or within a Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, FDE, or customer-facing engineering organization.

Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern SaaS architectures.

Experience building tools for technical or customer-facing teams.

Experience with enterprise software or complex technical environments.

Why Eon

You’ll have the opportunity to build the internal engineering capabilities that enable a rapidly growing Solutions organization.

Rather than inheriting an established platform, you’ll have the opportunity to build from the ground up, work directly with the people using what you create, and see your work have an immediate impact across the company.

If you’re a strong engineer who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, working closely with technical teams, and building things that people actually use, this is an opportunity to have a meaningful impact at Eon.
