In this role, you will::
- Own the low-voltage power distribution system requirements
- Own the vehicle communication architecture requirements
- Own the power modes and power states requirements
- Work with other system engineers and component owners in defining an architecture that supports their needs
- Participate in tech reviews to evaluate potential suppliers and ensure proper application of Zoox hardware standards
- Execute component performance analysis to maintain the total low-voltage system power needs
- Develop verification strategy and provide guidance to the test team in execution of test plan
- Root cause analysis and impact assessment for field issues in power distribution and network area.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
- 15 years of industry engineering experience
- At least 10 years of experience in vehicle electrical architectures, ECU HW base definitions, and vehicle power states functionality
- At least 3 years of experience in model based system engineering tools
- Able to gather and organize information in an efficient and effective manner
- Understanding of the Firmware development process for automotive ECUs
- Experience in development of wake and sleep functions for automotive ECUs
Bonus Qualifications:
- FW development and verification methodology
- Proficient in ISO 26262 and its architectural enablers
- Experience in LIN, CAN FD, automotive ethernet,
- Experience with electronic fusing
- Experience with wiring harness design and reliability
- Experience with manufacturing requirements
Compensation:
Base Salary Range
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
