About the role

Original posting from Crusoe via Ashby

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About This Role

Crusoe is building the infrastructure layer that powers the most demanding AI workloads on the planet. Our storage stack is what keeps tens of thousands of GPUs fed with data, whether that means block volumes for fast bootups, a shared file system for a training cluster, or the object storage tier a physical AI customer depends on. As a Staff Product Manager on our Cloud Infrastructure team, you will own the storage product roadmap and shape how customers experience capacity, durability, and ease of use.

This is a customer-obsessed role. You will spend real time with the engineers and infrastructure teams building on Crusoe Cloud, understand what is slowing them down or holding them back, and translate that into a product strategy that wins more of our business. You will work closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Software Engineering, SRE, Finance, and our executive team to turn customer insight into a storage platform that is easier to build on and better matched to how our customers actually use it.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Customer discovery and advocacy: Build deep relationships with customers to understand their storage needs, pain points, and growth plans, and act as their voice inside Crusoe.
  • Roadmap ownership: Own and prioritize the storage product roadmap across block, file, and object, balancing customer requests, technical feasibility, and business impact.
  • Product strategy: Define the roadmap for customer-facing storage capabilities, including tiering, versioning, backup and restore, and lifecycle management.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Partner with Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Software Engineering, and SRE to define technical specifications, execution timelines, and economics.
  • Executive communication: Distill complex technical tradeoffs into clear, compelling narratives and decision docs for company leadership.
  • Market and competitive analysis: Track industry trends in cloud storage and translate them into concrete opportunities for Crusoe to differentiate.
  • Go-to-market support: Work with sales and marketing to position storage capabilities in a way that resonates with customers and drives new business.
  • Product documentation: Create and maintain documentation that helps customers understand and get the most out of Crusoe's storage capabilities.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of technical product management experience, or product-minded engineering experience, with a track record of owning outcomes at Staff or Group PM scope.
  • Strong customer orientation, with experience gathering and synthesizing customer feedback into product decisions that grow revenue and retention.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud technologies, platforms, and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Experience building and launching storage products, such as block volumes, file-systems, or object storage.
  • Proven ability to define and scope ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives with minimal guidance.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, finance, and executive teams.
  • Direct technical experience working with storage hardware, protocols, or file systems.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with object storage access patterns, including public access and multi-tenant permissions.
  • Familiarity with backup, replication, and disaster recovery product design.
  • Familiarity with cloud storage economics and tiering strategy across hot, warm, and cold tiers.
  • Experience managing or mentoring other product managers.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages
  • Restricted Stock Units
  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs
  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
