SUMMER 2027 ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP:

As an intern for The Exploration Company (TEC), you will be at the forefront of our crewed vehicle development. You will be instrumental in enabling our mission by designing, developing, testing, and improving engineering systems and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and improve products, systems, or processes.
  • Contribute to real-world engineering projects and deliverables under the guidance of a mentor.
  • Apply engineering principles and coursework to solve technical problems.
  • Develop, test, debug, and document technical solutions, tools, or prototypes.
  • Analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to support engineering decisions.
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and technical discussions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project updates.
  • Support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.

Basic requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Three months or more of relevant engineering experience through prior internships, co-op programs, or industry projects.
  • Due to federal regulations (e.g., ITAR/EAR), applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (e.g., current Green Card holders)

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Six months or more of relevant engineering experience through prior internships, co-op programs, or industry projects.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience through academic projects, student organizations, internships, research, personal projects, or technical hobbies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and applying engineering principles to real-world challenges.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with relevant engineering tools, programming languages, or technical platforms related to the role.

Additional Requirements:

  • Able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 12 weeks beginning May 2027
  • Able to provide your own relocation and housing
