About the role

Original posting from Anduril Industries via Greenhouse

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Copperhead team is responsible for the product development of high speed small diameter undersea autunomous vehicles to support across critical commercial and defense mission sets. You'll operate in a fast-paced environment where small empowered teams move with urgency to deliver cutting-edge maritime capabilities from concept to deployment in months, not years. We bias toward action, embrace ambiguity, and expect technical program managers to drive execution with minimal bureaucracy — because the mission and the warfighter can't wait.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are in search of our next Technical Program Manager, Mission Operations. This Mission Operations (MOps) TPM is responsible for managing the execution, growth, and success of our customer facing deployments. Working across program, engineering, logistics and support system teams, our Mission Operations TPM will be the key interface for customer relationships and develop, plan, and deploy Anduril products in support of their missions. They work side-by- side with customers and deployment site teams to understand their specific problem sets and then shape Anduril's deployment strategy alongside our engineering teams to fit the mission needs. Because the problems we solve are uniquely challenging, our Mission Operations TPM's naturally gravitate toward finding solutions and are adept at navigating organizational hurdles. They are ultimately responsible for customer and mission success and therefore play a critical role in the shaping and future of Anduril Industries.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external clients, and industry partners to gather insights, align objectives, and secure buy-in for strategic initiatives. Act as the primary technical liaison for the client, partnering with the account lead to advocate for their needs within the engineering organization and ensuring their feedback directly influences the requirements generation process. Coordinate the intersection between engineering, logistics and external client sites to ensure successful deployment of vehicle and support equipment for critical customer facing demonstrations.

Technical Ownership: Drive technical outcomes through meticulous understanding of system performance, managing incident response and after-action, using metrics to derive insights into areas for improvement, quantifying the improvements made through investment in those areas, and maintaining a clear understanding of the state of the system that can be communicated to the customer.

Strategic Deployment and Execution: Translate strategic business goals into actionable project plans, setting clear milestones, and driving initiatives from conception through to successful completion, ensuring they deliver intended outcomes and add value to the business. Oversee to deployment of system hardware to customer sites.

Execute Autonomously: Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from external clients. Demonstrate high ownership on all pieces of work. Become a trusted partner to Anduril’s engineers.

Enable Cross Team Collaboration: Manage, unblock, and accelerate cross-team projects spanning multiple teams and initiatives. Collaborate closely with other partner teams, such as hardware, product, and test operations as needed.

Regular travel to support customer sites, ranges, and fleet locations (including OCONUS/shipboard) approximately 20%-50% of the time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
