About the role

WHY HARVEY

At Harvey, we’re transforming how legal and professional services operate. By combining frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise, we’re reshaping how critical knowledge work gets done for decades to come.

This is a rare chance to help build a generational company at a true inflection point. We have strong product-market fit and world-class investor support. We’re scaling fast and defining a new category in real time. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth — personal, professional, and financial — is unmatched.

Our team moves fast, takes ownership, and is deeply committed to the mission — operating with intensity, staying close to our customers, and pushing each other for excellence. We live by three values: Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job's Not Finished. We act quickly on clear judgment over perfect information, we believe simplicity is what scales, and we're never satisfied with where we are. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who share that drive, we'd love to build with you.

At Harvey, the future of professional services is being written today — and we’re just getting started.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Strategy Associate on Harvey's Transformation Office, you will be the analytical and content engine behind how we help the world's most sophisticated legal and professional services organizations adopt AI. Reporting to the Transformation Strategy Partner, you'll turn raw inputs — usage data, client context, and engagement learnings — into the playbooks, frameworks, analyses, and executive-ready materials that make transformation repeatable, scalable, and measurable.

This is a high-ownership, high-leverage role inside a function that is still being built from the ground up. You'll work across the full arc of transformation: helping size where Harvey can have the most impact, building the methodology that scales it, and supporting the strategic engagements that prove it out. You'll partner closely with Legal Engineering, GTM, and Customer Success, and gain direct exposure to senior partners, General Counsel, and Harvey leadership. Strong performers will grow into owning engagements of their own.

This is a builder's role for someone early in their career who wants disproportionate ownership, range, and visibility.

Travel: up to ~25% of the time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Turn data into insight. Pull, structure, and analyze adoption and usage data across accounts to understand what drives transformation. Build the models, dashboards, and impact analyses that tell us what's working, where the gaps are, and where Harvey can create the most value. You make the numbers tell a clear story.

Build playbooks and frameworks that scale. Take what works in individual engagements and codify it into reusable playbooks, templates, and methodology. You're not producing one-off decks; you're building the operating system of the Transformation Office so every engagement gets faster, sharper, and more repeatable.

Capture best practices from strategic transformation engagements. Synthesize lessons learned from engagements into repeatable materials, stakeholder maps, workflow analyses, and tracking that keep engagements on plan. Sit close to live client work, own discrete workstreams, and take on more end-to-end responsibility as you grow.

Build executive-ready communications. Translate complex analysis into crisp narratives, decks, and one-pagers for senior partners, GCs, and internal leadership. You can hold a high bar on both rigor and polish, and you make complex things feel simple.

Drive cross-functional coordination. Act as connective tissue across Legal Engineering, GTM, and Customer Success — chasing down inputs, aligning teams, and making sure things actually move. You surface risk early and keep work on track without being asked.

Synthesize learnings and feed thought leadership. Capture patterns across engagements and turn them into internal knowledge and external thought leadership that sharpens how the market — and Harvey — thinks about AI transformation.

Travel required: up to 25% of the time.

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • 2–3 years at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (MBB — McKinsey, BCG, Bain — or equivalent), where you owned analytically rigorous workstreams on real, complex client problems.
  • Exceptional quantitative and data analysis skills. You are deeply comfortable in Excel/Sheets, can structure messy data into clear insight, and build analyses leaders trust. Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Omni, Looker, Tableau) or SQL is a plus, not a requirement.
  • A track record of building playbooks, frameworks, or repeatable methodology — not just polished one-off deliverables.
  • Exposure to transformation, change management, and strategy work, ideally in or adjacent to legal, financial services, or professional services.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication. You make complex things simple, write with precision, and can hold your own in a room with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and a bias to action. You thrive where the playbook is still being written, and you'd rather ship and iterate than wait for perfect information.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and what it means for the future of professional work. You don't need to be a technologist, but you need to care deeply about the problem.
