About the role

Original posting from Red Ventures

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our Santurce (San Juan, PR) office (Monday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Fridays each week.

Red Ventures EDU's Distribution business — our owned-and-operated brands and our affiliate partnerships is looking for  a commercial operator, someone who builds a team to drive and execute deals while being personally active in creating commercial opportunities and supporting their development.

You'll personally drive the partnership and negotiation motion across O&O and Affiliates, own the P&L that results from it, and build the deal pipeline that diversifies revenue as the traffic environment keeps shifting. You'll do this with a lean, high-leverage team and heavy reliance on shared EDU functions (Engineering, Editorial, Creative).

What You’ll Do:

Drive key partnerships, new deals, and negotiations: Personally source, structure, negotiate, and close high-impact affiliate and distribution partnerships. Take an active role in major deals and key accounts, leading high-stakes partner conversations independently and leveraging your team and support functions to execute.

Build and own the commercial pipeline: Identify and prioritize new partnership and monetization opportunities across O&O and Affiliates. Develop a strong, actionable pipeline of new partners, innovative deal structures, and revenue opportunities that drive growth beyond existing affiliate channels.

Own P&L performance: Take accountability for revenue, contribution margin, and EBITDA across O&O and Affiliates, driving commercial initiatives that deliver against business targets and contribute to sustainable growth.

Lead cross-functional execution: Align FP&A, CX/Insights, and Partnerships around a shared commercial strategy, while collaborating with Engineering, Editorial, Creative, and other EDU teams to execute priorities and drive results without direct authority over all resources.

Shape business strategy and executive decision-making: Serve as a member of EDU's leadership team, providing executive-level reporting on business performance, commercial opportunities, and strategic priorities. Identify opportunities to improve performance and influence decisions that drive long-term growth.

Deliver measurable commercial impact: Build a strong track record of new and renegotiated partnership agreements, a prioritized pipeline of active opportunities, and tangible revenue and EBITDA growth driven by your commercial leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

8+ years of partnership experience in the digital space. Education experience a strong plus.

A demonstrated track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing commercial partnership or affiliate deals. You have been a core part of deal-making in your career trajectory

Strong plus: direct background in digital partnerships/affiliate monetization — this space runs on rev-share structures, publisher relationships, and channel economics that don't transfer cleanly from generic product/marketing backgrounds

Comfort owning P&L outcomes that result from your own commercial activity, including fluency in unit economics and margin tradeoffs

Comfortable operating without full authority over the resources you depend on but don’t own (Engineering, Editorial, Creative).

Compensation:

Total Cash Compensation Range: $230,000 – $292,000 per year

This role is eligible for a target bonus, which is included in the Total Cash Compensation Range above. This role is also eligible for Equity, which is offered separately from the Total Cash Compensation Range listed above. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.

Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)

Life Insurance

Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance

Holiday Pay

401(k) with match

Employee Assistance Program

Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program

Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential.  That’s why we offer a generous and flexible PTO policy.  Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO for a full calendar year annually, with an increase to 25 days after five years of service.
