About the Role:

As a  Warehouse Associate II you will be responsible for accurately and safely gathering, packaging, and preparing products according to the weekly sales order and establishing practice and procedures for product shipping, picking, and storing. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor  you will be responsible to identify and confirm any products received that do not comply with both quality and quantity of the product. As part of the Production team, you will play a key role working in collaboration with all personnel and managers to ensure the warehouse is running smoothly.

What you will be doing:

Maintain a clean and organized work environment including food storage and non-food storage areas

Operate a forklift, stacker, and other Material Handling Equipment  in a safe manner in compliance with Company Health and Safety Policy

Coordinate with the team to update the inventory level daily along with the consumption

Conduct cycle count processes to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient utilization

Follow inventory management processes and policies to optimize costs and improve inventory accuracy

Analyze, manage and maintain optimum inventory levels; work on continuously improving inventory performance

Work closely with the Production Management team to ensure all issues are communicated effectively to reduce deviations in production schedule

Ensure safety performance metrics are achieved by leading safety improvement activities and effectively managing and leading safety performance in the warehouse

Schedule and train employees according to the company’s standard operational procedure

Issue tickets for the daily delivery shorts and non-delivery

Identify quality issues with incoming product and work collaboratively with the teams to ensure that only the best products are accepted into our facility

Ensure daily and accurate information flow in receiving system & paperwork

Maintain and organize pallet locations

Prepare ship out documents and ensure the ship out is completed within the time limit

Learn company software and databases to execute receiving/inventory process & documentation

Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.

Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.

Other duties as assigned.

At a minimum, you have: 

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 -3 years experience in a food processing, manufacturing or service industry

Forklift  certification is required, such as Dock stocker and Reach truck

Willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs

Has experience with standing for prolonged periods of time including regular bending, twisting and walking

Familiar with MS Office and/or Google Apps and comfortable learning new technologies.

Experience with Inventory management and control

Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written

Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, evenings and holidays as required

Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy looking consistently for potential food safety or quality deviations.

Will be required to move heavy equipment and materials for line set up, changes and operation.

Willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)
