About the Role

Leap Health's Clinical Operations function, which spans Intake, Care, and Care Guide Operations, is scaling 3x by year-end, and this role exists to help that growth run smoothly day-to-day. The Strategy & Operations Manager will execute and continuously refine the Activation playbook, roll out playbooks and training for new client launches, and keep the metrics and reporting that leadership relies on up and running. This person works as a close, dotted-line partner to the managers of Intake Operations, Care Operations, and Care Guides, stepping in wherever execution needs an extra hand. Reporting to the Head of Member Operations and Strategy, this is a hands-on operating role for someone who wants to be in the mechanics of a fast-scaling health-tech operation. Based in New York, hybrid, with occasional travel to markets.

Key Responsibilities

Playbook Execution & Coverage

  • Execute the Activation playbook day-to-day, and surface field learnings that help refine it over time
  • Roll out playbooks and training for new client launches, adapting delivery based on what's actually working on the ground
  • Step in directly to cover gaps across Intake, Care Operations, and Care Guide wherever the team needs an extra hand

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work as a close, dotted-line partner to the managers of Intake, Care Operations, and Care Guide, supporting their teams' execution with no formal reporting authority
  • Help establish consistent operating cadences (team syncs, reporting rhythms) as those teams scale
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Client Success, and other cross-functional partners on shared initiatives

Metrics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards that give leadership visibility into Activation and Clinical Operations performance
  • Track KPIs across the funnel and flag bottlenecks for leadership to act on
  • Partner with Engineering to implement automations that improve day-to-day efficiency

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4-5 years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy, or Consulting, someone who connects dots across functions and turns ambiguity into a clear next step
  • Comfortable operating inside an existing structure: you take a playbook and run it well, adapting in the field rather than needing to redesign it
  • Strong with metrics, you read a dashboard and understand what it means for the business, not just report the numbers
  • Skilled at building trust and influence without formal authority, this role coordinates closely with peer managers with no direct reporting relationship

Preferred:

  • Hands-on operating experience at a startup, ideally you've paired strategy / consulting-caliber thinking with the reps of actually running point on execution in a fast-moving environment
