ROLE DESCRIPTION

Form Energy is hiring an EHS Technician to support daily EHS operations at our Berkeley, California facility and nearby project sites. You will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our team and facilities focused on battery design, engineering, and full-scale validation and testing. You will partner and work closely with our team on the safety of novel technologies and associated EHS initiatives. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support day-to-day EHS operations of a fast-paced engineering and test facility and nearby project sites.
  • Assist with basic safety reviews of tasks and equipment, including job hazard analyses (JHAs).
  • Complete routine workplace and fire/life safety inspections.
  • Maintain chemical inventories, safety data sheets (SDSs), and labeling.
  • Support hazardous waste collection, packaging, and disposal coordination.
  • Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout (LOTO) supplies, and other EHS items.
  • Schedule, deliver, and document routine EHS trainings.
  • Maintain accurate EHS recordkeeping and documentation.
  • Organize and maintain digital assets including file storage and wiki pages.
  • Work closely with teams to ensure EHS requirements are addressed and met.
  • Promote a strong, positive safety culture throughout the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 0-2 years experience in EHS. Experience in engineering environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic EHS regulations and best practices.
  • Passion for safety culture and the environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
