About the role

Original posting from Anduril Industries via Greenhouse

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril's Corporate Technology team is focused on building the digital twin of Anduril's operations. From these systems we build and integrate data across applications, workflows, dashboards, and metrics that drive better and faster decision-making. We call this system-of-systems “CorpOS”. This role owns the master data that the finance half of that digital twin runs on — the chart of accounts, legal entities, cost centers, vendors, customers, and the item and work-order masters that determine whether our inventory is valued correctly and our close is defensible. You will work with stakeholders from across the company to understand how Anduril functions, and implement both the policy and the tooling that keep that data trustworthy at scale.

WHO YOU ARE

We're looking for people who love increasing the velocity that organizations act with data. Ideally you are passionate about the next generation of defense technology and love building policy that ties directly into process for master data management. You prioritize velocity and are interested in pushing the frontiers of what master data management can do inside an organization — think driving data quality and policy by building data applications rather than writing PowerPoints. You are comfortable sitting between Finance and Engineering, and you can hold your own in a conversation about cost accounting and about data models.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own the architecture of master data for finance — chart of accounts and GL segments, legal entities, cost centers, suppliers, customers, and the item/part and work-order masters that feed inventory valuation and cost accounting.

Define and enforce the policy layer: who owns each domain, who can create or change a record, what validation it must pass, and how changes are reviewed and audited.

Build the applications and automation that make compliance the path of least resistance — request and approval workflows, duplicate detection, validation at entry, and golden-record reconciliation across ERP and the warehouse.

Establish data stewardship practices with data owners across Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, and Operations, and lead initiatives that measurably improve data quality, accuracy, and completeness.

Partner with Controllership and FP&A to make month-end faster and the numbers more defensible — attacking the master data problems behind manual reconciliation, mapping spreadsheets, and restated allocations.

Work with the teams building our ERP and analytics platforms so master data flows cleanly from transactional systems into the warehouse and reporting layers.

Seek out problems that can be solved by improving master data and proactively work with the organization to make it a reality.

Become a trusted resource for Anduril leadership in helping them manage their data more effectively.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years in a master data management focused role — business systems, program management, finance systems, compliance, or data governance — with proven experience in data architecture and a focus on master data.

Exposure to finance and accounting fundamentals: general ledger and chart of accounts structure, cost centers and allocations, and why a monthly close breaks when master data is wrong. You do not need to be an accountant, but you need to be credible with them.

Experience being hands on keyboard technical — backgrounds as a Technical Analyst or Consultant with a strong engineering background, or as a Data / Analytics Engineer, are a plus.

You are motivated by our mission. We are working to solve the biggest problems in defense.

You're energized by business impact and are a self-starter: you'd rather build a prototype of a tool that makes adherence to policy easier for users than write the policy alone.

Familiarity with data security and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Experience with SQL and/or Python or other programming languages a plus.

U.S. Persons status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Hands-on experience with an enterprise ERP — Oracle Fusion Cloud (Financials, SCM, Cost Management) or comparable NetSuite / SAP modules — and the master data objects inside it.

Experience with a dedicated MDM or data governance platform, or having stood one up from scratch.

Familiarity with modern data platforms and analytics tooling (e.g., warehouses, Foundry, dbt, Looker/Tableau) and how they integrate with transactional finance systems.

Exposure to manufacturing data: item and BOM masters, work-order costing, standard versus actual cost, and inventory valuation — and how master data errors show up as cost errors.

Experience standing up data standards for a company scaling quickly through new entities, sites, or geographies.

Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
