About the role

Original posting from Snowflake via Ashby

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

We’re looking for a Manager/ Sr. Manager to lead Finance Analytics—redefining how Finance leverages data, automation, and AI to operate at scale. This role sits at the intersection of analytics engineering, data product development, and applied AI, and is responsible for building both the team and the systems that power next-generation Finance.

You won’t just deliver dashboards—you’ll lead the development of scalable data products, intelligent workflows, and AI-driven applications that transform how Finance operates, makes decisions, and drives efficiency.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role requiring a balance of strategy, execution, and people leadership. You’ll partner closely with Finance, business stakeholders, and Engineering to translate ambiguity into durable, production-grade solutions.

In this role, you will:

Set vision and lead execution

  • Define and drive the roadmap for Finance Analytics, aligned to business priorities and long-term data strategy.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable data products, AI solutions, and automation initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team
  • Hire, develop, and mentor a team of analysts, analytics engineers, and data product builders.
  • Establish best practices across data modeling, experimentation, and product development.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, speed, and continuous learning.

Own data products end-to-end

  • Oversee the design, development, and adoption of data products, dashboards, and internal applications used to run Finance.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and deeply embedded in business workflows.

Drive AI-powered transformation

  • Lead the development of intelligent workflows, such as automation, copilots, agents, and decision-support tools, that increase leverage across Finance.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities to apply AI and automation to core financial and operational processes.

Strengthen the data foundation

  • Partner with Data Engineering to ensure high-quality, well-modeled, and governed datasets.
  • Establish standards for data quality, documentation, and discoverability.

Influence decision-making at scale

  • Deliver actionable insights and shape strategic decisions through data.
  • Act as a thought partner to Finance leadership, bringing a data-driven perspective.

Champion operational excellence

  • Identify inefficiencies and drive system- and process-level improvements.
  • Implement scalable solutions over one-off analyses.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, BI, or related fields, with 2+ years in a people management role.
  • Deep expertise in SQL and building scalable, production-grade data models.
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, or similar programming languages, for data transformation, automation, or application development.
  • Experience building data products, not just dashboards, including tools, apps, or workflows used in business operations.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI/LLMs, such as Cortex, OpenAI, Claude, or similar technologies, to real business problems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Experience supporting Finance organizations.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP, financial planning, or business planning systems.
  • Background supporting finance, business operations, or analytics teams.
  • Familiarity with agile development practices.

What Sets You Apart

  • Builder + leader mindset: You can set strategy while staying close to the work.
  • Product orientation: You think in terms of user adoption, usability, and impact—not just delivery.
  • Systems thinker: You design scalable, reusable solutions that stand the test of time.
  • Bias for action: You move quickly, iterate, and prioritize impact over perfection.
  • AI-forward: You actively explore and apply emerging AI capabilities to unlock new ways of working.
  • User obsession: You deeply understand stakeholder needs and design solutions that truly improve their workflows.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
