About the role

Original posting from Snowflake via Ashby

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

People Partner – Product & Engineering

Snowflake is seeking a People Partner to support our Product and Engineering organizations. In this role, you will be a trusted, hands-on advisor to people managers and their teams across the full range of people topics, including talent, performance, engagement, org design and change management. Partnering with leaders on performance and talent decisions will be a meaningful part of the work.

We are looking for a People Partner who is curious about how technical teams work, comfortable with hard conversations, and excited about the impact of AI on both the business and Snowflakes around the world. You bring sound judgment, a bias for action, and a strong sense of ownership.

This role is based in either our Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA office, with in-office attendance required three days per week.

The People Partner will work closely with Product and Engineering teams, global People Partners, Employee Relations, and People Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver people programs and solve talent challenges across a fast-moving technical organization.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE:

  • Serve as a go-to advisor for Product and Engineering leaders and teams on talent, team effectiveness, and day-to-day people decisions
  • Help managers raise the bar on their teams by setting clear expectations, giving candid feedback, and tackling performance head-on
  • Partner on performance review and calibration cycles for your client groups, bringing data and a point of view to drive consistent, differentiated outcomes
  • Support core talent processes including promotions, compensation cycles, succession planning, and retention of top talent
  • Build manager capability through coaching and targeted development, helping first- and second-line leaders grow
  • Spot what's working and what's not across engagement, attrition, and performance, and turn insights into action
  • Be the steady hand on complex employee situations, partnering with Employee Relations when it counts
  • Help teams scale, reorganize, and evolve without losing momentum
  • Use data, Workday reporting, and AI tools to diagnose issues, track outcomes, and scale your impact
  • Partner with COEs (Talent, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Recruiting) to deliver programs tailored to technical teams

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 7+ years of HR/People experience, including as a people partner or generalist
  • Experience supporting Engineering, Product, or other technical organizations in a fast-paced environment is preferred
  • Hands-on experience advising managers through performance challenges, review cycles, and calibrations
  • Strong coaching skills, with the ability to help managers have direct, empathetic conversations
  • Comfort with data; able to interpret people metrics and turn them into recommendations
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with technical managers and push back constructively
  • Curiosity and applied interest in AI and how it can evolve the people partner role
  • Thrive in a high-volume environment and own outcomes from start to finish
  • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
