Everfield provides support in talent acquisition, HR, and access to a team of experts in building and growing European B2B SaaS companies who consult on financial and operational topics. Founded in 2022, Everfield has an ecosystem presence in 9 countries, and growing.

Everfield Payments are an ambitious and innovative embedded payments business working inside a company that buys, builds, and grows European vertical market and specialist software companies, providing them with the tools they need to move to the next level. Our intention is to transform the way Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) integrate payment acceptance into their solutions. With a small but rapidly growing team, we are focused on delivering exceptional, scalable payment solutions tailored to the needs of the European market.

About the Role

As Payments Pricing Lead you own pricing for Everfield Payments end-to-end: the strategy, the policy, the tooling behind it and the way our business units put it into practice. This is a build role.

Most of our business units are new to selling payments. A large part of this job is enablement: getting their commercial teams and leadership comfortable with payments economics so they can sell profitably. You will work closely with Proposition, Sales/GTM, Finance and our development team, and we expect you to bring your own view rather than wait to be asked for one.

You will be one person serving a growing number of business units, so using AI to scale yourself is part of the job rather than a nice extra.

This is a hands-on role for a key individual contributor.

What you will do:

  • Work with relevant stakeholders on input costs, reconciliation and how margin lands in the P&L, and with Sales/GTM so market feedback reaches the relevant sales enablement tools and strategies
  • Design and own Everfield's payments pricing strategy enabling Business Unit’s sales teams to win payments business at the right margin. Develop discount and incentive strategies and structures for payments and payments hardware
  • Develop and implement a margin management process, including regular profitability monitoring, which can be delivered across regions and PortCo's
  • Manage process of re-pricing and monitoring back-book customers
  • Own the requirements for our enablement tooling and work with our development team to ship it.
  • Run profitability monitoring across business units and markets, and lead the re-pricing of back-book merchants where margins are too low
  • Develop pro-active strategies to re-price merchants as part of the growth strategy
  • Support Business Units to win complex deals, RfP’s and negotiations
  • Enable and coach business units to sell payments profitably. Most are new to payments, so expect to run training, build playbooks and templates, and develop local champions.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Proven capability to operate effectively at all levels and gain the confidence of colleagues and senior management
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of payments economics: interchange, scheme fees, IC++ versus blended. You spot the opportunities in a cost overview and are up to date with pricing strategies of the competition
  • AI native. You already use AI tools to be more efficient and enhance your contribution
  • Significant experience in a commercial pricing role within a high transaction volume business, ideally in payments
  • Able to explain payments economics clearly to people who do not know payments. Much of this role is teaching commercial teams who are new to the industry
  • Self-directed. You will set the agenda for this function rather than receive it, and we expect proposals to come from you

Desirable experience:

  • Experience pricing across several European markets with different competitive dynamics
  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment
  • Comfort with data tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI or similar)

What We Offer:

  • Attractive salary package with performance-based bonus.
  • Remote Flexibility (Can be based in the UK/Spain/Holland/Germany/Poland/France)
  • A collaborative team culture based on respect, ownership, and trust.
  • Benefit from access to international experts within the Everfield ecosystem — accelerate your personal and professional growth.
  • Regular team events and company celebrations.

We are an equal opportunity employer and ensure that no applicant is subject to less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, gender identity, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, responsibilities for dependants, physical or mental disability. Any hiring decision is made based on skills, qualifications and experiences.

We look forward to receiving your application!
