THE ROLE

The Principal Business Systems Analyst for Master Data Management (MDM) will be a critical leader in driving the strategy and execution of business systems that guarantee the accuracy and integrity of our core customer, product, and asset data. You will leverage your deep expertise in enterprise systems and analytical capabilities to deliver high-impact data quality improvements and mentor junior team members.

This role is for a highly experienced systems analyst who can lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and drive alignment and accountability across the organization. You will partner with senior leaders across functions and regions to translate business needs into scalable system solutions, influence strategic systems planning, and ensure data consistency across the enterprise.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead and manage complex business systems projects and initiatives focused on improving data quality, consistency, and accuracy across customer, product, and asset data, driving significant business impact.

Partner with and influence senior stakeholders across the organization, including Senior Directors and VPs, to drive alignment on requirements and priorities, challenge and push back when needed, and move initiatives toward decisions and outcomes.

Design and implement new business systems and processes to enforce data governance standards, ensuring the long-term integrity of our master data.

Drive strategic system planning by researching and recommending the adoption of emerging systems trends and technologies to continuously enhance our MDM capabilities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Sales, Finance) to establish and enforce system best practices, translating business needs into detailed, clear functional and technical documentation.

Mentor and guide junior Business Systems Analysts on systems projects, acting as the subject matter expert to elevate the team's overall capability and knowledge base in data quality analysis and systems design.

WHAT YOU BRING

7+ years of professional work experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar relevant role, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale system implementations.

Proven experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders, with the ability to navigate differing priorities, challenge and push back when needed, and drive alignment and accountability.

Expertise in data integration within large enterprise systems, with proficient knowledge in Integration and Data technologies (e.g., REST, Open API, SQL), and hands-on experience with Data Profiling.

Strong skills in requirements elicitation, using methods like workshops and interviews, to effectively translate complex business needs into clear and actionable system documentation.

Familiarity with fundamental concepts of Master Data Management (MDM), including entities, hierarchies, reference data & taxonomies, survivorship, and stewardship workflows.

Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems and core business processes such as Accounts, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay basics.

Familiarity with data tools such as D&B Direct+ or Data Tiles.

The ability to effectively collaborate across different regions and time zones, particularly with US-based teams, which will require flexibility for late calls to meet project deadlines.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech Republic office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
