The Intermediate Security Administrator supports secure operation and compliance of DISA enterprise network environments, with an emphasis on ISSO support, STIG implementation, cybersecurity documentation, and COMSEC activities.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Support ISSO and cybersecurity personnel with security compliance, documentation, vulnerability remediation, and recurring cybersecurity activities.

Apply, validate, and document DISA STIGs and secure configuration baselines.

Assist with network troubleshooting and remediation of security findings.

Develop and provide DISN COMSEC reports.

Notify the Manager/Custodian of non-compliant issues and support compromise-response activities.

Support coordination with DISA customers, COMSEC personnel, and the National Security Agency as required.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Candidates should generally possess 3–5 years of combined IT, cybersecurity, network administration, information assurance, or related technical experience. This position is considered a developing/intermediate role on the program, and candidates are not expected to be senior-level.

Relevant experience may include:

IT Security, Information Assurance, cybersecurity, or RMF support.

DISA STIG implementation, assessment, remediation, or documentation.

Vulnerability management and security compliance activities.

Network administration or network security fundamentals.

COMSEC, cryptographic equipment, or key-management activities.

Maintaining cybersecurity documentation, technical records, compliance evidence, or security-related reports.

Supporting DoD or other regulated enterprise IT environments.

Experience supporting DISA NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, or similar DoD environments is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

DoD 8570 IAT Level II / 8140 Compliance Required after fully in place

CompTIA Security+ CE

Security Clearance:

  • Secret Clearance Required

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. The posted range is appropriate for a typical candidate meeting, at a minimum, all the core requirements of the position.
