Chainalysis' Blockchain Foundations Team (BCF) is a Business Unit within Chainalysis focused on Alterya, an AI-powered fraud prevention platform helping financial institutions, fintechs, and cryptocurrency businesses detect and prevent scams before funds leave customer accounts. Alterya leverages advanced AI, behavioral analytics, and real-time intelligence to identify emerging fraud patterns and protect customers from increasingly sophisticated financial crime. As part of Chainalysis, we're building the next generation of fraud prevention technology that enables organizations to stay ahead of scammers while delivering seamless customer experiences.

ROLE:

As a Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer journey, partnering with prospects and customers from initial discovery through deployment and ongoing success. This hybrid pre- and post-sales role combines solution consulting, technical implementation, fraud prevention expertise, and customer enablement. You'll work closely with banks, fintechs, payment providers, and crypto businesses to understand their fraud challenges, design tailored solutions, and ensure successful implementation of Alterya's AI-powered platform.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Partner with Account Executives and Sales teams to lead technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and solution workshops.
  • Help customers evaluate Alterya's fraud detection capabilities and align solutions with their fraud prevention strategies.
  • Design and implement customized fraud detection workflows using AI-driven behavioral intelligence and risk signals.
  • Lead technical onboarding, API integrations, and deployment of Alterya's platform into customer environments.
  • Collaborate with customer fraud, risk, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
  • Advise customers on emerging fraud trends, scam typologies, and fraud prevention best practices.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing solution guidance throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to share customer feedback and influence future product development.
  • Document implementation best practices and contribute to scalable enablement resources.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Own Proof of Concepts (POCs) end to end, including planning, defining success criteria, execution, and successful completion.
  • Enables sales teams through training, product education, and ongoing technical support.
  • Work across multiple products, helping bundle solutions and bridge knowledge gaps between teams.
  • Prioritizes high agency, ownership, and the ability to learn quickly over specific domain expertise.

3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, or similar.

  • Experience working with fraud prevention, financial crime, payments, banking, fintech, or cryptocurrency solutions.
  • Experience integrating SaaS platforms using APIs and supporting technical implementations.
  • Strong understanding of fraud detection, transaction monitoring, AML, scam prevention, or risk management concepts.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple customer engagements in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, self-driven mindset with strong collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams.
