We’re a team that thrives on solving complex problems with innovative solutions that advance our mission. Checkr is recognized on Forbes Cloud 100 2025 List and is a Y Combinator 2024 Breakthrough Company.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Strategy, the Senior Staff Supply Chain Strategy Manager owns Checkr's highest-stakes supply chain strategy work, shaping how the company scales new products and manages vendor risk. This person will own multi-year, cross-functional strategic initiatives and complex vendor partnerships end-to-end, from ambiguous, emerging business needs through execution and measurable outcomes. The role partners closely with R&D, Operations, Finance, and GTM, and plays a direct part in Checkr's growth into new product lines and markets.

What you'll do

Own end-to-end 1-3 year strategic initiatives across supply chain product expansion, resiliency, and differentiation, from initial hypothesis through post-implementation evaluation.

Lead high-stakes vendor strategy and negotiation, including scenario planning, positioning, and approval pathways for new or expanded partnerships.

Own strategic vendor relationships where terms affect product strategy, competitive advantage, and customer experience, including SLAs, exclusivity, and differentiation.

Drive cross-functional alignment across R&D, Operations, Finance, and GTM, securing resourcing to deliver multi-year programs.

Influence senior leadership decisions through high-value strategy narratives and trade-off documents, and recommend data-driven adjustments based on outcomes.

Define and continuously refine supply chain strategy for your functional area, driving adoption of best practices and maintaining deep subject-matter and industry expertise.

What you bring

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)

8+ years owning large-scale, cross-functional supply chain or strategic initiatives end-to-end, including high-stakes vendor negotiation and partnership management

Demonstrated ability to operate through significant ambiguity, make consequential trade-offs, and secure senior leadership approval on strategic direction

Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior leadership using high-quality strategic documents

Strong track record of driving cross-functional alignment across R&D, Operations, Finance, and GTM

An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
