About the role:

Skydio is looking for a Senior+ Technical Recruiter to help build the teams shaping the future of autonomous flight. You’ll lead critical engineering searches, partner directly with company leaders, and play a key role in defining how we hire as we scale. This is a senior, hands-on recruiting role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and knows how to land top technical talent where it matters most.

Skydio operates on a hybrid schedule, with employees working from the office three days per week. This role is based at our San Mateo, CA headquarters.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Relentlessly seek top talent, curate high-quality pipelines, craft compelling candidate experiences, and secure exceptional hires across niche and highly competitive skill sets
  • Operate as the go-to recruiting expert and trusted advisor for hiring leaders and interview teams within your functions, influencing org design, headcount planning, and hiring strategy
  • Drive executive-level recruiting engagements, from calibrations through close, while delivering a best-in-class candidate experience at every touchpoint
  • Partner with People Ops, Compensation, and Finance to optimize headcount plans and hiring processes for scale and efficiency
  • Champion structured hiring practices, ensuring we maintain rigor and fairness in every decision
  • Help shape Skydio’s recruiting culture by continuously raising the bar for how we attract and retain top talent; proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, improve recruiting processes, and help uplevel fellow recruiters

What makes you a good fit:

  • Deep expertise building high talent density teams in one or more of the following areas: Software (Cloud, Mobile, Infrastructure), Autonomy (Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Planning & Controls), Hardware (Mechanical & Electrical Design), Hardware Operations (Manufacturing, Supply Chain)
  • Ability to influence and advise at the executive level, leveraging data and market intelligence to drive strategic hiring decisions
  • Comfort navigating complex, ambiguous hiring landscapes - balancing urgency with quality and long-term business impact
  • Known for exceptional judgment, credibility, and follow-through, with a reputation for turning tough searches into success stories
  • Experience mentoring recruiters and contributing to process, tooling, and talent branding

Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $227,000. Fundamentally, we believe that equity is the key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure all regular, full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s group health insurance plans. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive the following benefits: Paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay and 401K savings plan.
