About the Role

As a Senior Technical Writer / Editor, you'll join an embedded creative team producing rapid-turn editorial and marketing content. Working alongside client stakeholders, this role will refine complex technical material into clear, engaging content for consumer-facing audiences who are already comfortable with technology.

This role is primarily focused on editing and adapting approved source content rather than writing technical narratives from scratch. The ideal candidate can improve clarity, structure and tone without diluting technical meaning, introducing inaccuracies or oversimplifying the subject matter.

An interest in AI, emerging technology and new approaches to creative production is essential.

Responsibilities:

Edit and refine technical editorial and marketing content for clarity, accuracy, flow and audience relevance.

Preserve essential technical meaning while making complex information accessible and engaging.

Adapt approved source copy across web, social, video, presentation and other digital formats.

Create copy variants based on platform requirements, audience needs, character limits and established messaging.

Develop and refine headlines, subheads, summaries, captions, calls to action and on-screen copy.

Apply approved copy within design layouts, working closely with designers to balance meaning, hierarchy and available space.

Partner with subject matter experts to clarify technical details and resolve gaps or inconsistencies.

Work with producers to track copy status, approvals, source material and open questions.

Consolidate editorial feedback and recommend resolutions when comments are subjective, conflicting or unclear.

Maintain established terminology, naming conventions, voice and editorial standards.

Conduct thorough copy QA across spelling, grammar, punctuation, factual consistency, links, versioning and platform specifications.

Document approved language, recurring feedback and editorial decisions for future use.

Use approved AI and editorial tools to support research, comparison, versioning and efficiency while maintaining human editorial judgment.

Maintain discretion when working with confidential and highly sensitive information.

Collaborate with client stakeholders and a distributed creative team operating across multiple locations and shifts. Maintain availability during assigned working hours and flexibility around urgent priorities.

About You

The essentials:

5+ years of experience in technical editing, technical writing, technology journalism, digital publishing or editorial marketing.

Demonstrated ability to edit complex technology content without losing accuracy or nuance.

Experience writing for technically fluent consumer, professional or business audiences.

Strong understanding of digital editorial structure, information hierarchy and platform-specific copy requirements.

Experience adapting a single source narrative into multiple formats and copy variants.

Exceptional command of written English, grammar, syntax and editorial style is required.

Strong proofreading, fact-checking and self-QA skills.

Ability to work autonomously, manage rapid turnarounds and make sound editorial decisions amid ambiguity.

Confidence collaborating with technical experts, designers, motion artists, producers and senior stakeholders.

Interest in AI, emerging technology and production innovation.
