ROLE DESCRIPTION

Form Energy is hiring a supervisor to lead our R&D Subscale Build Team. This team is responsible for creating scaled-down batteries from our electrode process teams and delivering consistent production centered around the latest advancements of our internal testing efforts. The team works on scaling, stabilizing, and continuously improving processes to fulfill our internal demand. You will contribute to the creation and evolution of lean manufacturing processes and work closely with technicians to improve quality and reliability. As the supervisor you work cross-functionally in partnership with our R&D, materials, and process engineering teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to support and develop a team of 5+ technicians, Manage resourcing schedules and meet the ever changing demand from our internal customers
  • Production Oversight: Lead the shift production team to ensure all production targets are met efficiently and that team follows all required protocols and standards
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, test execution and other operational teams to troubleshoot production challenges, ensure quality and throughput are maintained at a high standard
  • Be a champion of safety for a growing team and novel processes
  • Aid in the introduction, scale-up, and continuous improvement of flexible internal R&D processes

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience working in an R&D assembly or manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years with people manager responsibilities
  • Flexibility and experience in leading teams through operational changes, advocating for continuous improvement, and ensuring all team members are aligned with new work instructions and processes
  • Capable of managing team resources, supporting cross-functional requests, and facilitating career development and training for team members
  • Strong technical fluency and comfort using digital tools and ticketing systems
  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional coordination
