About the role

Original posting from Parameter ai via Ashby

ABOUT PARAMETER

Parameter builds AI agents that run autonomous penetration tests, finding and validating real vulnerabilities in our customers' applications and infrastructure. We're a small team in San Francisco working with security teams at fast-growing companies.

THE ROLE

We're hiring a technical content creator to explain security and AI to engineers and security teams. You'll make videos and posts that teach people something real, like how an attack works, why tools miss it, and how AI is changing offensive security, so Parameter becomes the place people go to understand this space.

You'll work directly with our founders and security researchers. They'll bring the technical depth, and you'll turn it into content people want to watch. You don't need a security background coming in, but you need to be curious and willing to learn it properly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, script, and record explainer videos for YouTube, LinkedIn, and X, both long-form and short-form
  • Turn research, product launches, and security news into clear breakdowns
  • Work with our researchers to make sure content is technically accurate
  • Build and run Parameter's YouTube channel and social presence
  • Track what's working (views, retention, signups) and adjust
  • Help with other marketing content as needed, like launch videos, demos, and blog posts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A body of published content (a channel, posts, or videos) that shows you can explain technical topics clearly
  • Comfortable on camera and able to script and record your own videos
  • Strong writing and storytelling
  • Technical enough to understand how software works and learn new topics quickly
  • Able to work onsite in San Francisco

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in security, software engineering, or AI
  • Experience creating content or doing developer relations at a startup
  • Video editing, motion graphics, or animation skills (not required; you'll work with our design team on production)
  • An audience of your own, of any size

COMPENSATION

$120K–$170K plus equity, depending on experience.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • Intro call
  • Review of your existing content and a conversation about it
  • Paid take-home: script and produce a short explainer on a security topic we pick together
  • Onsite with the team
