At IONOS, our GITS (Global IT Support) team ensures that work runs smoothly across all our German sites. We’re looking for new team members for our Regensburg office and would love to hear from you if you’re keen not only to study technology but also to put it into practice, and if you enjoy working with people.

Tasks

You’ll provide support with hardware, software, accounts and access rights, for example when setting up laptops, workstations and user accounts.

You’ll be part of our global 1st and 2nd level IT support team and the first point of contact for our customers, whether via ticket, chat or in person on site.

You’ll log enquiries, analyse technical issues and either resolve them yourself or escalate them in a structured manner to the relevant experts.

You’ll act as the link between business and IT, understanding the needs of the specialist departments, translating their requirements into technical solutions and explaining IT topics in a clear and accessible way.

You’ll work with Jira Service Management and Confluence on a daily basis, document solutions and gain practical experience of modern IT service management.

You’ll gain real insights into cloud infrastructure, AI-supported workflows and asset management.

Qualifications

Enrolled for at least twelve months on a technical degree programme, e.g. Computer Science, at a university or university of applied sciences (proof of enrolment required).

High level of self-organisation, the ability to set priorities independently and a good sense of when to ask for clarification.

Enjoys interacting with people, is helpful and maintains a friendly manner even in hectic situations.

Ability to explain technical topics in a simple and understandable way, as well as an understanding of users’ needs.

Interest in AI and motivation to try out AI tools in day-to-day work.

Experience with Jira, Confluence or other Atlassian tools is an advantage, but not essential.

Good written and spoken German and a solid command of written and spoken English.

A structured and dynamic approach to work with an eye for detail, even when juggling multiple tasks.

Working hours: 20 hours per week during term time, with the possibility of increased hours during the semester breaks.

Benefits

Flexible working hours through trust-based working hours.

At some locations a subsidized canteen and various free drinks.

Modern office space with very good transport connections.

Various employee discounts for activities and products.

Employee events such as summer and winter parties, as well as workshops.

Numerous training and development opportunities.

Various health offers, such as sports and health courses.

Application Note

We value diversity and welcome all applications – regardless of, for example, gender, nationality, ethnic or social origin, religion, disability, age as well as sexual orientation and identity, physical characteristics, marital status or any other irrelevant factor subject to applicable law.
