With millions of diners, 70,000+ restaurant partners and 25+ years of experience, OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKNG), is an industry leader with a passion for helping restaurants thrive. Our world-class technology empowers restaurants to focus on what matters most – their team, their guests, and their bottom line – while enabling diners to discover and book the perfect restaurant for every occasion.

Every employee at OpenTable has a tangible impact on what we do and how we do it. You’ll also be part of a global team and its portfolio of metasearch brands. Hospitality is all about taking care of others, and it defines our culture.

About the Job

As an Account Manager based in Florence, Italy, you will manage a portfolio of restaurant partners across the full customer lifecycle, from onboarding and adoption through retention and renewal. You will build trusted relationships with restaurant operators, helping them use OpenTable’s technology to improve reservation flow, guest experiences, and business performance. This field-based, remote role combines home working with regular travel across your territory and close collaboration with teams across OpenTable. Your work will directly support restaurant growth while helping OpenTable strengthen its position as a trusted technology partner to the hospitality industry.

As we do not have an office in Italy, the role is remote, with regular visits to restaurants.

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of restaurant partners across onboarding, adoption, retention, renewal, and account growth.

Build trusted relationships with restaurant operators through regular meetings, business reviews, training, and face-to-face visits across the territory.

Help customers configure OpenTable to optimize reservation flow, implement reservation links on their websites, and complete accurate installation handovers for Technical Support.

Understand customer needs, identify opportunities for relevant marketing solutions, support quarterly commercial goals, and contribute to the renewal of expiring contracts.

Advocate for restaurant partners by coordinating with Technical Support, Marketing, Product, and other teams to resolve issues and deliver customer outcomes.

Capture customer feedback and industry insights, recommend product improvements, and support restaurant-specific marketing and promotional programs.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, consultative sales, or a related customer-facing role, with a record of delivering strong service.

Professional fluency in Italian and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to understand customer business objectives, handle objections, negotiate effectively, and communicate recommendations that influence decision-making.

Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple stakeholders, use data to inform recommendations, and work independently in a field-based role.

Proficiency with Google Workspace and Salesforce, plus a valid driving license and reliable transportation for regular business travel.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in restaurant management, hospitality, food and beverage sales, or restaurant technology.

Experience managing accounts for a SaaS, reservation, point-of-sale, or other technology platform.

Experience leading customer training, presenting to groups, and facilitating business reviews with senior stakeholders.

Knowledge of restaurant economics and industry trends, with the ability to identify relevant business opportunities.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
