Original posting from Eye Security via Ashby

You’re the first face people see when they walk into the Eye office, and a big reason they enjoy coming back. Guests, new colleagues, our SecOps analysts, the sales team, our founders: you know them all. As our Office Manager, you run the office in The Hague as if it were your own. You notice what needs doing, decide what matters most today, and get it done without waiting for someone to ask.

What you’ll do

  • Keep the office running day to day. Make sure the meeting rooms are set up, the kitchen is clean, the plants get water, and supplies and inventory are up to date.
  • Welcome guests and new colleagues. For onboarding and offboarding, you have desks, access and welcome packs ready before day one.
  • Work together with our event manager on our events from planning to the night itself: quarterly meetups, Thursday socials, the summer and Christmas parties. In the evening, you’re the host.
  • Remember the moments that matter, like work anniversaries and gifts, so nobody slips through the cracks.
  • Follow up when someone flags a problem, and stay on it until it’s actually fixed.
  • Work with vendors, service providers and building management. You request quotes, compare them, order, and keep the office budget, invoices and expenses in check.
  • Work directly with our founders..
  • Think ahead about our offices. When we talk about opening in a new cities in Europe, you’re the one who works out what that takes.
  • Work closely with our Office Assistant, and with our Office Manager in Germany.

What you bring

  • Experience in office management, front office, facilities or hospitality (hotels, events, restaurants)
  • You take initiative. You set your own priorities and you’re happy to roll up your sleeves.
  • You’re warm and approachable, and hosting people comes naturally to you
  • Fluent Dutch and English
  • You like being where the people are: 4 days a week in our The Hague office , especially on Thursdays which is our official office day.
  • 32 - 40 hours availability.

What we offer

  • Real ownership. You decide how the office runs and how our events look.
  • A flat organisation where you work closely with our founders and connect with every team
  • Company retreats abroad (Spain, Portugal, Italy…), quarterly meetups and Thursday socials
  • A generous time-off policy, including wellbeing and volunteering days
  • Room to grow with us as the team and our number of offices grow
