About the role

Original posting from Slice

Ilir Sela started Slice with the belief that local pizzerias deserve all of the advantages of major franchises without compromising their independence. Starting with his family's pizzerias, we now empower over tens of thousands of restaurants with the technology, services, and collective power that owners need to better serve their digitally minded customers and build lasting businesses. We're growing and adding more talent to help fulfil this valuable mission. That's where you come in.

The Challenge to Solve

Keep Slice's social presence consistent, engaging, and unmistakably on-brand every single day.

The Role

This part-time role owns Slice's day-to-day presence on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. You'll take our library of content and get it in front of the right audience at the right time, publishing 1 to 2 posts per day and following the content calendar and creative direction set by the broader Marketing team.

Beyond posting, you'll be the one in the comments and DMs, replying, engaging, and building real relationships with our community of pizzeria partners and pizza lovers. You won't be starting from scratch creatively, the assets and direction already exist. What we need is someone who shows up every day, keeps the presence consistent, and treats the comment section and inbox like an extension of the brand, not an afterthought.

Publish 1 to 2 posts per day across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, pulling from Slice's existing content library and adapting each piece for the platform it's going on

Follow the content calendar and creative direction set by the marketing team, while flagging what's working (and what isn't) in real time

Monitor comments and DMs across all channels and respond promptly, on brand, and in Slice's voice

Build and nurture the Slice community, engaging with pizzerias, customers, and fans to drive genuine conversation, not just likes

Track basic engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, follower growth) and report out on what's resonating

Spot trends, sounds, and formats worth jumping on, and suggest ideas back to the content team

Help coordinate light community activations: contests, giveaways, and shoutouts to partner pizzerias

The Team

This role sits within Marketing and will report to the Community Lead. You'll work closely with the broader Marketing Team, which sets the content calendar and creative direction, and coordinate with them on the assets and campaigns you're bringing to life across social.

The Winning Recipe

1 to 2+ years of experience managing social media or community for a brand, agency or in-house

Genuine familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok as platforms, not just as a user, but an understanding of what performs and why

Strong, adaptable writing skills, comfortable switching tone between a caption, a comment reply, and a DM

Reliable and responsive; comfortable owning a daily posting cadence and staying on top of inbound comments and DMs without a lot of hand-holding

A team player who can take creative direction and execute quickly and consistently

Comfortable with basic social scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok analytics, or similar)

A genuine interest in pizza, small business, and local community culture is a big plus

The Hiring Process

Here’s what we expect the hiring process for this role to be, should all go well with your candidacy. This entire process is expected to take 2-3 weeks to complete and you’d be expected to start on a specific date.

30 minute final interview
